Thalys is a high-speed train service that connects Paris with Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne.
Among other routes, Thalys operate 24 services per day between Brussels and Paris, taking 1 hour 22 minutes, 6 services between Brussels and Cologne, taking 1 hour 47 minutes, up to 11 services per day between Brussels and Amsterdam in 1 hour 53 minutes (via Antwerp, Rotterdam and Schiphol airport) and up to 5 daily services between Paris and Cologne, taking 3 hours 14 minutes.
Since 10th December 2017, customers now have the choice of 3 classes of service onboard:
Standard: Standard class passengers will travel in a 2nd class coach and WiFi and electric sockets are available on board. Refreshments can be purchased from the bar-buffet car. There are two fare types to choose from: 'Standard Mini' which are non exchangeable and non refundable and 'Standard' which are exchangeable with fee and refundable with a 50% penalty, up to departure time.
Comfort: Those opting for Comfort class will travel in a 1st class coach which has wider, more comfortable seats and also includes WiFi and power sockets. Refreshments can be purchased from the bar-buffet car. Tickets are exchangeable with a fee and refundable with a 50% penalty, up to departure time.
Premium: Premium class includes all of the on board comforts that you'd expect from a premium service. Passengers travel in a 1st class coach and WiFi and electric sockets are available. In addition to this, Premium passengers can access the Thalys lounges in Brussels Midi and Paris Nord stations, are offered a meal at seat service on board, including drinks and have newspapers and magazines available at the end of the coach. It's also possible to reserve a taxi on board so that it's waiting at the end destination and tickets are exchangeable and refundable without fee before departure and refundable with a 50% penalty after departure.
